Privacy Policy

FieldMeasure Pro · Effective June 20, 2026

The short version: FieldMeasure Pro keeps your work on your device. There's no account, and your jobs, photos, and customer details are never sent to us or anyone else. The only data that leaves the app is anonymous, opt-out usage analytics that contains none of your job content.

What the app stores on your device

Everything you create stays in the app's local storage on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac:

Jobs, rooms, and measurements
Photos you attach to a room
Your price book, kits, and line items
Company details and logo
App settings

This data is not transmitted to us. We do not operate a server that receives your job, customer, or photo content.

Analytics

To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the app sends anonymous product analytics to PostHog: events such as which screens you view, which features you use, the app version, and device type. These events never include your job, customer, or photo content. You can turn analytics off entirely in Settings → About → Privacy.

Device permissions

Camera — to take job-site photos to attach to a room.
Photos — to attach photos you already have to a room.
Location — only to read the location tag already embedded in a photo you add. The app never tracks your location in the background.

Cloud backup and sync

This version of FieldMeasure Pro is local-only: it does not back up or sync your data to the cloud, and it makes no sync or backup network calls. If a future version offers optional cloud backup, it will be opt-in and this policy will be updated to describe it before it ships.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. Anonymous analytics are processed by PostHog on our behalf under their privacy terms. When you export a PDF or a .fmpro backup, you choose where it goes using your device's standard share sheet.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete everything in Settings → Backup → Delete all my data, or by deleting the app. Export a .fmpro backup first if you want to keep a copy.

Children

FieldMeasure Pro is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
